Kforce has a client in Fairfax, VA that is seeking an Automation Engineer. Responsibilities: * Follow software development best practices to facilitate collaboration, feature enhancement, issue tracking, testing, development, and production deployment * Implement automation and other tasks using Power Platform, Azure App Services, PowerShell, APIs, etc. * Utilize parameter driven, declarative syntax models, when possible, to afford flexibility and simplicity to subscribing organizations * Provides top-level technical expertise, including performing in-depth and complex software systems programming and analysis * Provide solution strategy, solution development and technical guidance to develop business and market solutions that align with cloud service offerings from the cloud service provider * Ensures systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for DoD architectures * Interacts with project management to plan project schedules and technical direction * Develops software design documents and technology white papers. Instrumental in selection of development tools and approaches * Collaboration on configuration changes using a distributed revision control system (i.e., Git) * Automation with PowerShell Modules and Power Platform
