We are currently searching for an Automation Engineer to work a hybrid scheme in Porto and work in a 6 to 9 months contract with the possibility of extension.

Role Overview
• Design and implement test automation strategies in collaboration with product development teams.
• Build and execute automation tests across multiple environments and browsers.
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to the automation framework.
• Evaluate existing manual regression suites and translate test cases into automation.
• Assess automation coverage and propose strategies for improvement.
• Provide technical support to team members and help them achieve deliverables.
• Actively participate in agile planning and backlog prioritization.
• Coach peers on best practices in test automation and software design.

Skills & Qualifications
• Strong experience with test automation using C# and Selenium WebDriver.
• Solid understanding of API testing and .NET platforms.
• Proficient in creating reusable automation scripts.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Docker.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira and test management platforms.
• Expertise in cross-browser testing and web technologies (HTML, HTTP).
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fluent in English and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward continuous learning.

Education & Experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: Experience in automation testing roles is valuable.
• Experience: Experience with Java or JavaScript is desirable.
• Preferred: Strong C# knowledge needed; Familiarity with agile methodologies, CI processes, software build and delivery workflows, CSS Selectors, and Relative XPath.
