We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Test Automation and Manual Testing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves mentoring offshore resources, reviewing test case development, and supporting customer-facing applications, with a focus on DOCSIS, WiFi, and VoIP technologies. The ideal candidate will have a blend of manual testing expertise, automation skills, and the ability to drive the transition towards increased test automation.
Requirements
Top 3 Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role
- Understanding what is a good candidate for test automation vs manual - this team is currently focused on manual testing, but hope to move to 70% automated and 30% manual in the next 3-6 months
- Experience with the following: DOCSIS (main focus), WiFi, and VoIP
o Voice testing
o Router testing
o Support the test development cases
- Python testing experience

- Ability to do whatever it takes to get job done (able to work hours outside of standard core hours)
Plusses:
- Experience working in a team lead capacity
- Experience working with off-shore teams
Day to Day/Project:
- Supporting off-shore teams in a mentorship capacity - 4 total off-shore resources
- Focused on reviewint test case development - teaching best practices, guiding, training, mentoring off-shore teams
- Off-shore team usually works until around 11am MT
- Working on Customer Support Channels - lots of users using this app and those users often have questions this team needs to respond to
- Monitor those issues that come through and train the team on how to properly remediate them
- Supporting end customers
- Testing the hardware from the user perspective as a manual tester:
o Understand the test plans using the internal application
o How to automate that test case in the application
o Learn and automate those test cases - see if it matches that manual behavior
o Understanding "what are our end users doing? Is it a test case issue? Is it an environment issue?"
