Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Automation Controls Technician  position to join our Tulsa, Oklahoma manufacturing location.

Current openings:

1st Shift Monday - Thursday 5:15am to 3:45pm

Hourly pay rate of $ 35.45

 

Your responsibilities will include

As an Automation Controls Technician, you will assist the controls engineering team on controls/plant automation projects. This person will also provide support to all areas of the plant where control engineering expertise is required including day-to-day support and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Minimum requirements

High school diploma or GED required

Engineering Associates (or higher) degree or past additional training in Automation, Robotics, Electrical Engineering

Advanced knowledge of electrical theory, industrial controls, and NEC

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Machine maintenance and diagnostic/troubleshooting experience

Proficient in PLC and HMI programming (preferably Allen Bradley SLC500 and CLX5000)

Able to read and apply information shown on drawings and schematics

Able to install and complete point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation

Must be able to work in a team environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Ability to demonstrate overall safe work behavior; including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines (lockout tagout, arc flash, etc.)

Must be able to complete all safety training/testing requirements

Preferred skills and experiences

Knowledge of motion controls desired

Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D software

Experience working with 6-axis robots (preferably Yaskawa/Motoman) desired

Experience with barcode scanners, vision systems and/or vision sensors desired

Understanding of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and/or Lean Manufacturing desired

Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics desired
