You’ll be hands on with all aspects of the technical testing and specialize on test case Optimization, implementation and use of Automated solutions integrated with Model based Test design tools, should promote shift left and agile approach of testing and shall possess the attitude to transform QA to QE. The Automation Consultant, IT Quality Assurance is responsible for developing test automation strategies and plans and overseeing testing activities pertaining to implementation of QE practices and process for projects and initiatives in compliance with established controls, standards and QE processes. The role works on complex issues involving one or more technical areas, mentoring employees and performing tasks of advanced technical depth and breadth. The Automation Consultant, IT Quality Assurance will support the QE Director in achieving their strategic goals for the QE Team by providing leadership, technical support to the team, design solutions to testing problems, providing solutions to implement QE best practices in terms of implementing devOps, Test Optimization, and other QE transformation levers like AI Solutions, API services automation , Service Virtualization, Test data Management capabilities and Test Environment management capabilities. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview ._ **How you'll succeed** + **Testing expertise** – Preparation of Automated test cases and frameworks using CIBC recommended approach and Tools, providing expertise and guidance in using model-based test case design approach. Executing the test cases through automation and promoting AI driven automation approaches – by designing/implementing AI Tools and Solutions. Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements. + **Leadership skills** – Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback, support, and mentorship. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest possible improvements or enhancements. + **Project coordination** – Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget, and goals. **Who You Are** + **You can demonstrate experience in** software development testing, automation, and software process improvement. At least 5 year’s experience writing and executing SQL queries and have software development experience in Java, C#, Python, VBScript, etc. Strong experience in QE process and standards through optimized test case design, test architecture, and utilization of automation frameworks (like Robot framework, Script less frameworks) involving various tools like Selenium, Appium , UFT, SOAtest, Postman etc. design solutions to testing problems, Providing solutions to implement QE best practices in terms of implementing Devops, Test Optimization, and other QE transformations levers like API services automation , Service Virtualization, Test data Management capabilities, and Test Environment management capabilities. The role devises new methods and procedures using strong analytic and inductive thinking. + **Demonstrates knowledge of AI** concepts/terms, including Frameworks (Langchain), LLMs, OpenAI, GPT models, guard rails , embeddings, , vector stores (e.g., FAISS), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Top K Sampling, prompt engineering, document processing workflows, chunking strategies, etc. + **Practical experience in** using, designing, implementing AI tools and frameworks, including developing end-to-end workflows (such as document preprocessing, document parsing, tune/chunking, Accuracy measurement, vector storage, retrieval, and generation via RAG), integrating and selecting AI/ML models via APIs, creating and evaluating prompts and embeddings, building AI agents, and optimizing AI-driven automation solutions [AI Certification a plus] + **You're inspired by collective success.** You know that teamwork can transform a good idea into a great one.
