Position Description:

We’ve started our journey to create a world class payments service. As the Automation Engineer, you will need the ability to understand customer needs, partner with developers, analysts, and tech leads across the delivery team to identify test scenarios and propose appropriate technical solutions. Ensure that all of the software used on global merchant acquiring platform is operating according to the relevant specification. Develop Automation, perform System testing and drive quality assurance of code and configuration. Document test activities, log defects and ensure that re-testing takes place to confirm that problems encountered have been resolved. Work in accordance with testing standards developed in-house and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing standards and automation.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

What you will do:
• Play a central role in adding to our extensive automation capabilities in testing our core acquiring platform,
• Working with business analysts & developers to write test cases for new changes,
• Develop and agree test plans with BAs and Software Development engineers,
• Review Requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback,
• Log bugs, reporting the issue to the developers and taking full ownership and accountability following up to ensure that corrective action is taken,
• Gain knowledge of the merchant acquiring business and a competence with our Merchant Acquiring platform to enable the support of other groups within the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Maintain and develop our automated tests for both the UI and API layers.
• Experience with Java or similar tests in C#
• Ability to analyse a given functionality and design test cases that would be worth scripting
• Basic knowledge of SQL to prepare test data
• Experience with automation of elements of testing process, such as environment management, versioning, reporting, etc. is nice to have
• Familiarity with Bash or Python would be a valuable skill
• Experience with test automation frameworks (eg. Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured),
• Experience of Behavioral Driven Development & Test Driven Development, knowledge of Gherkin Syntax with Cucumber a bonus,
• Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team,
• Practical knowledge of object oriented programming principles,
• Practical knowledge of databases and SQL (Oracle),
• Experience with Source Code Management tools (Git),
• At least basic knowledge about SDLC (Systems development life cycle),
• Experience with Atlassian defect tracking tools (JIRA, XRAY),
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab).
• Fluent English, due to work in an international environment, strong English skills are also required to enable easy communication in teams distributed across the world.
• Location: 5days a week in Bratislava office is required

The base salary starts from 1300 to 2200 EUR/m. (gross). Final salary could be higher - it depends on skills and expertise of candidates.
