We are seeking an Auto\/Diesel Mechanic for a position in Geismar, LA. The work is light duty on the Tractor\/Trailer fleet. This position will be working with the existing mechanic. The work consists of preventative type maintenance, ordering and picking up parts, communicating with the drivers to meet their needs when they come in from the road, Scheduling outside repairs, (heavy repairs), Shop Clean-up. The same details apply for the Trailers. Non-exempt role; Reports to Direct Supervisor \/ Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures \/ work is checked frequently.\n

Essential Qualifications:\n\nHigh school or equivalent\nGeneral gasoline and diesel engine knowledge\nAbility to diagnose and repair equipment\nOrganizational skills\nAbility to prioritize and work self-directed and alone at times\nASME certified preferred\nTechnical training and\/or industrial related safety experience \nPost offer drug \/ alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy\nComply with company and client job site safety requirements\nMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace\n\n

Functional Requirements:\n

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various automotive and heavy equipment, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.\n
