Job Description

Summary:

The Auto Body Technician will perform high-quality collision repairs on a variety of vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Review repair orders and perform assigned body and collision work efficiently and accuratelyRepair or replace damaged panels, fenders, bumpers, and related componentsPerform structural and frame repairs in accordance with manufacturer and industry standardsSand, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting or refinishingMix and apply body fillers, primers, and other repair materials to meet quality specificationsCollaborate with estimators and the Body Shop Manager to identify additional repairs neededDocument all work performed in repair order system promptly and accuratelyMaintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean, safe, and proper working conditionFollow all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal and safety proceduresConduct final inspections to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations

QualificationsMinimum 1+ years of body shop or collision center repair experienceAbility to perform structural and non-structural repairs to manufacturer specificationsProficient with repair tools, equipment, and safety proceduresValid driver’s license with a good driving recordMust be authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment screenings (background, drug test, and MVR)

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of body shop or collision center repair experienceI-CAR, ASE, or OEM collision repair certificationsExperience with GM vehicles (Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac)

Compensation (Flat-Rate: Hourly):

$18.00 - $22.00 / hourBased on experience, certifications, and skill levelTenure Bonus Program*:Starting at 6 months, earn up to $3.50/hour on every flat-rate hour turnedBonus increases with tenure and is paid annually
