Australia Field Service Lead, Amazon Leo
Amazon Leo is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites that will provide high-speed, low-latency broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. The Amazon Leo Consumer Business is looking for a talented Australia Field Services Lead to operate our professional installation and maintenance network. As one of our valued team members, you will be obsessed with matching our standards for operational excellence with a relentless focus on delighting our customers. A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrixed organization and adept at understanding how satellite field service operations and device fulfilment works in Australia. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives, especially in support of Internet Service Provider (ISP) related consumer products or services. This is a high visibility role with frequent opportunities to interact with and present to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving process improvements, implementing industry best-practices, and be comfortable driving strategy while operationalizing that vision.

This position may require access to information, technology, or hardware that is subject to export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employment in this position is contingent upon obtaining any required export licenses or other approvals from the United States government. As such, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain any necessary export licenses or approvals based on their nationality, citizenship, and any other factors considered by the applicable export control regulations

Key job responsibilities
• Operate our professional satellite systems installation and maintenance network for residential and business customers across Australia.
• Establish key operational performance metrics, define business requirements for operational tools/systems, implement tracking and reporting mechanisms, and continuously optimize operational performance metrics.
• Review historical sales and subscriber forecasts, research demand drivers, analyse forecast data, validate and optimize assumptions, and translate forecasts into operational plans and requirements (i.e., inventory management, delivery, installation, service calls).
• Partner with global planning, forward logistics, and reverse logistics teams to optimize regional inventory allocation, local inventory placement, storage capacity, and fulfilment processes.
• Once operational, meet our performance measurement criteria and drive process improvement across the business operations work stream, and focus on optimizing costs and deliver a fantastic customer experience.
• Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data, and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders. - Prepare detailed business cases for justification of new opportunities.
• Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization.
