Description We are looking for an experienced Audit Staff member who is detail oriented to join our team in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This role involves preparing tax returns, supporting audit engagements, and analyzing financial statements for a variety of clients across different industries. The ideal candidate will excel in both independent and collaborative work environments while ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations. Responsibilities: • Prepare accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for both individual and business clients. • Support audit planning, conduct fieldwork, and contribute to the development of audit reports. • Analyze financial statements and related documentation to identify discrepancies or areas of concern. • Communicate audit findings and tax issues effectively to clients and team members. • Maintain organized and detailed workpapers to ensure all deadlines are met. • Ensure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards. • Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley testing and other internal audit reviews. • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and ensure high-quality service delivery. • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting principles relevant to the role. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax preparation and/or public accounting audit. • Proficiency in audit procedures and familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley testing. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and current tax regulations. • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members. • CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred.
