Description We are looking for an Audit Senior to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a boutique firm that provides assurance, tax, and business advisory services to a diverse range of clients. As a trusted advisor, you will play a key role in delivering insightful financial analyses and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while mentoring early-career team members.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct audit, review, and compilation procedures, including control testing, substantive testing, and analytical reviews, to evaluate the accuracy of financial data for privately-held businesses.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit and review engagements, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Apply a strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to engagements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to early-career staff, fostering their growth and technical skills.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and a high level of responsiveness.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the firm's practices remain current and effective.
• Support ongoing development by participating in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance client outcomes through advisory services and forward-looking financial analyses. Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
· CPA or obtain 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility.
· Minimum 2 years of experience with a public accounting firm required; small or mid-market client experience is ideal
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client responsiveness.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
· Ability to excel both independently and collaboratively.
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
· Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
· Knowledge of CCH Axcess and Profx Engagement is a plus.
