What role will you play?As an Intern within the Audit Confirmation and Reconciliation Team, you will gain valuable hands on experience in the financial services industry by engaging with external auditors to provide timely and accurate audit confirmations for Macquarie Commodities and Global Markets’ clients. Your responsibilities will include sourcing open position reports, account statements, loan facility statements, and settlement confirmations from various Macquarie systems.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be cross trained in Reconciliations & Controls processes, which involve performing daily reconciliations of cash, stock, other assets, and liabilities accounts, monitoring daily client settlements, and investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks. This role offers a comprehensive introduction to both audit confirmation and reconciliation functions within a leading financial institution.
What you offer:• Currently in your penultimate or final year of study with a mandatory internship requirement as part of your curriculum• Students with background in Accountancy, Financial Management, Business Administration, or similar programs• A learning mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to execution and delivery• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications• Student leaders are welcome to apply and would be advantageous
