What you'll do:

As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit services while also preparing statutory financial statements for a diverse range of clients.

Take responsibility for planning and completing audit assignments, ensuring that all files contain appropriate and sufficient documentation to meet regulatory standards. Be heavily involved in the completion of audit fieldwork as well as planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, often conducted on site at client premises. Prepare statutory financial statements from client data, identifying high-level risk areas or matters of concern for escalation to Partners or Managers using sound judgement. Support the delivery of revenue and profitability targets by managing your workload efficiently and contributing positively to team objectives. Begin to take ownership of your own portfolio of clients with ongoing support from your manager, developing enduring professional relationships built on trust and reliability. Assist in the execution and finalisation of audit assignments for Partner or Manager review, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout each stage of the process. Coach and mentor junior members of the team by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their professional development. Collaborate closely with colleagues across different departments to ensure seamless service delivery for clients operating in a variety of industries. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards such as IFRS and UKGAAP to ensure best practice is followed at all times.

What you bring:

To excel as an Audit and Accounts Senior in this highly regarded firm, you will bring proven experience gained within accountancy practice environments, particularly those involving audit assignments across multiple sectors.

Hold a recognised qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent which demonstrates your technical proficiency in accountancy. Possess practical experience auditing clients across a variety of industries which enables you to adapt quickly to new challenges. Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP so that you can apply best practice principles in every assignment undertaken. Showcase experience in coaching or mentoring junior team members by providing guidance that supports their learning journey. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to build rapport with clients as well as collaborate effectively within teams. Display strong organisational abilities enabling you to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail throughout complex projects. Utilise sound judgement when identifying risk areas or issues requiring escalation during audit processes. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing so that findings are presented accurately for Partner or Manager review.
