Duties Description Studio/Field Multimedia Productions: Assist and perform the pre-production and production phases of creating multimedia projects. Duties include pre-production meetings, script writing, lighting, audio, computer teleprompting, and videography. Working knowledge and expertise with professional camera systems is required. Postproduction: Assist and perform the postproduction process (editing) of Division multimedia projects using digital video editing systems. Working knowledge with Avid Technologies, Apple applications, and Adobe Creative Suites is required. Working knowledge and expertise with multimedia encoding formats will also be required.Photography: Assist and perform photography assignments throughout the state using professional digital camera platforms, image processing using professional dry lab and printing computer systems, print processing using professional mounting, matting, and framing equipment, and graphics production using professional multimedia software. Working knowledge and expertise with all software in the Adobe Creative Suites, Apple applications, and Microsoft applications is required. Audiovisual Support: Assist and perform multimedia support in training and public relations events held at the Academy and venues across the state. Tasks include, supplying instructors, presenters, and staff with appropriate audiovisual equipment and operating a variety of audiovisual equipment during seminars, teleconferences, press conferences, and other events held across the state. Multimedia Archiving/Duplications: Assist and perform the process of multimedia duplications and archiving. Knowledge and expertise in duplication systems and archiving applications will be required. Packaging, distribution, back-up, and archiving will also be performed. Forensic Multimedia Support: Under the direction of the Director and/or Manager of the FVMSU, assist video documentation of criminal and civil events throughout the state, assist Multimedia Forensic Analysts in Comparative analysis and 3D Photogrammetry/Reverse Projection testing, assist in the duplication of analog and digital evidence, and assist in the photography of analog and digital evidence.
Minimum Qualifications Four (4) years of practical experience in the operation of a variety of audiovisual production equipment which must include video cameras, lighting, microphones, and non-linear video editing software; and experience in creating and maintaining various audiovisual digital files to produce multiple end products which must include broadcasts, web presentations, videos, and CD/DVD/Blu-Rays. A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in video and/or film production may substitute for two years of the experience.Preference will be given to those candidates who have:Knowledge of fundamental concepts of analog and digital multimedia technologies and practical experience with the Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Ocean Systems, DVR Examiner, iNPUT-ACE, Amped 5 and VideoFocus forensic applications. Minimum qualifications must be met by the closing date of the posting.
