Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Audiovisual Engineer with a Top Secret clearance to support our Army customer. This role will focus on providing comprehensive engineering support for all Army Materiel Command (AMC) Audio/Visual (A/V) control systems and components. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with A/V system design, installation, maintenance, and programming, with knowledge of DoD security requirements.

**Position Description:**
The Audiovisual Engineer will be responsible for supporting all aspects of AMC's Audio/Visual systems from installation through maintenance and troubleshooting. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
+ Provide comprehensive engineering support for all AMC Audio/Visual (A/V) control systems and components
+ Install, maintain, and troubleshoot A/V equipment including:
+ Control systems
+ Display devices
+ LCD TVs
+ Speaker systems
+ Audio processors
+ Switching and routing equipment
+ Video conferencing systems
+ Cabling infrastructure
+ Manage A/V projects from initial planning through implementation and commissioning
+ Ensure A/V system security through regular firmware updates
+ Address vulnerabilities in A/V systems to maintain IAVA compliance
+ Implement and maintain password security per DoD/Army cybersecurity policies
+ Modify and develop A/V system control code to meet operational requirements
+ Program control interfaces for intuitive user operation
+ Maintain and support digital signage systems for HQ AMC messaging
+ Create and update content management workflows for digital signage
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation for A/V systems
+ Perform system testing and verification after installations or modifications
+ Create and follow standard operating procedures for A/V equipment
+ Coordinate with stakeholders regarding A/V system requirements and capabilities
+ Provide technical guidance on A/V technology selection and integration
+ Diagnose and resolve complex A/V system issues
+ Conduct preventive maintenance on A/V systems and components
+ Keep current with emerging A/V technologies and integration methods
+ Support training for end users on A/V system operation
+ Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper network integration of A/V systems
+ Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for A/V installations
**Education and Experience:**
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 5+ years of experience in audiovisual engineering, installation, and maintenance
+ Experience with A/V control system programming
+ Background in project management for A/V installations
+ Knowledge of security requirements for A/V systems
+ Top Secret Clearance
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
+ Strong knowledge of A/V system design, installation, and troubleshooting
+ Experience with A/V control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.)
+ Proficiency in programming A/V control interfaces
+ Knowledge of digital signage systems and content management
+ Understanding of A/V security practices and firmware management
+ Experience with IAVA compliance for connected systems
+ Knowledge of DoD/Army cybersecurity policies as they relate to A/V systems
+ Proficiency in cable installation, termination, and testing
+ Experience with video conferencing system integration
+ Understanding of audio system design and optimization
+ Knowledge of display technologies and implementation
+ Experience managing A/V projects from concept to completion
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and diagrams
+ Experience creating technical documentation for A/V systems
+ Knowledge of signal flow and system architecture
+ Understanding of IP networking as it relates to A/V systems
+ Experience with preventive maintenance procedures
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
**Desired Skills and Competencies:**
+ Certifications such as CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D from AVIXA
+ Manufacturer-specific certifications (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, etc.)
+ Experience working in Army or DoD environments
+ Knowledge of SCIFs or classified facility A/V requirements
+ Experience with command center or operations center A/V systems
+ Background in large-scale digital signage implementations
+ Knowledge of ADA compliance for A/V systems
+ Experience with room acoustics analysis and treatment
+ Understanding of audio/video over IP technologies
+ Knowledge of fiber optic systems for A/V applications
+ Experience with integrated room control systems
+ Background in wireless presentation systems
+ Knowledge of HDCP compliance and content protection
+ Experience with audio DSP configuration and programming
+ Understanding of RF systems and wireless audio
+ Background in system commissioning and acceptance testing
+ Experience training users on complex A/V systems
+ Knowledge of emerging A/V standards and technologies
