vary Position SummaryHartford HealthCare is seeking a skilled and compassionateAudiologistto join our Outpatient team inHartford CT This role is responsible for thediagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing ear and hearing related symptoms including hearing loss tinnitus and balance disorders The Audiologist will play a key role in improving patientsrsquo quality of life through comprehensive evaluation treatment planning and implementation of individualized care strategiesKey ResponsibilitiesIndependently evaluate patients experiencing symptoms related to the ear and hearing by examining patient and assessing nature and extent of hearing disorder using testing devices Assess impact and severity of hearing loss in order to develop an appropriate treatment planDevelop comprehensive diagnosis in order to develop an appropriate treatment plan Diagnose severity of hearing loss mild moderate moderately severe severe and profound Diagnose category of hearing loss sensorineural hearing loss conductive hearing loss and mixed hearing loss Diagnose other inner ear related disorders such as vestibular balance disordersDevelop and implement hearing loss treatment plan which may include cleaning the ear canal and fitting patient for and dispensing hearing aids Evaluate and determine cochlear or osseo integrated implant candidacy Activate and program sound processors for cochlear or osseo integrated implant recipients Develop and implement treatment plan for balance disorder and other inner ear related disordersProvide education and counsel to patients and if applicable patient family and caregiver about hearing and inner ear related problems Clearly explain diagnosis and treatment plan and provide instruction on care and maintenance of hearing hearing devices and hearing assessmentspreferredStrong interpersonal communication and organizational skillsProficiency with audiological equipment and EMR systems Epic experience preferredWhy Join
