Job Title: Audio Visual Technician
Reporting to: Assistant Technical Manager / Team Leader
Job Purpose As an Audio Visual (AV) Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting AV systems across various rides and attractions. You’ll work closely with Senior Technicians and Team Leaders to ensure all AV equipment—such as sound systems, projection mapping, and automation—is operating safely and efficiently. This role also includes supporting installation and commissioning phases with contractors and manufacturers to ensure full operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Operational • Perform daily, scheduled, and annual maintenance on AV systems, including arcade, VR, dark rides, and animatronics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV-related issues in compliance with international standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Support ride/device certification and recertification processes.
• Maintain accurate records using asset management systems and technical documentation.
• Participate in evacuation drills and emergency response procedures involving AV systems.
2. Execution & Quality
• Follow SEVEN’s maintenance procedures and safety protocols during all tasks.
• Provide feedback for improving SOPs, manuals, and technical processes.
• Inspect and report on tools and equipment, ensuring calibration and safety compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
3. Team Support & Communication • Collaborate with peers and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
• Step in for the Senior Technician when required and assist in planning manpower, tools, and materials.
• Communicate effectively with operations staff during ride stoppages or technical issues.
• Promote a safety-first culture and contribute to a positive guest experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
1. Education & Experience • Diploma/Certificate in Audio Visual, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the leisure and attraction industry, preferably in theme parks or FECs.
• Experience with arcade systems, dark rides, VR, animatronics, and video game devices is preferred. 2. Nature of Experience • Familiarity with EN13814 and/or ASTM F24 standards for dark rides, arcade/video games, VR, and skill games.
• Hands-on experience with day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, and certification support.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures, electronics repair, and evacuation protocols.
• Exposure to vendors such as Triotech, HUSS, Brogen, Dynamic Attractions, Cruden, ETF is advantageous. 3. Language & Soft Skills • Proficient in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus.
• Strong communication, time management, cultural awareness, and guest safety mindset.
Preferred Training & Certifications (Not Mandatory)
• Electronics / Audio Visual / Virtual Reality training
• Work at Height
• Train the Trainer
• IPAF (Mobile Elevated Work Platform license)
• PASMA (Mobile Scaffold Erection license)
