Audio/Visual Specialist III
**Job Description** **General Purpose:** Manage audio visual (A/V) requirements for company events and A/V and video conferencing projects. Set up and operate A/V production equipment for various production events, including annual meeting, board of director’s meetings, and other large-scale or high-priority events. Troubleshoot A/V issues and respond quickly to requests during an event. Direct others for set-up and break down of large meetings. Provide best-in-class A/V support services. Possess in-depth knowledge of A/V equipment and demonstrate high-level skills with extensive proficiency. Function as a resource for colleagues with less experience. **Job Duties and Responsibilities:** + Provide comprehensive A/V technical support and oversight for local and enterprise-wide meetings and events + Participate in and manage planning of events to ensure meeting spaces will facilitate attendees and A/V equipment; develop proper mockups and layouts for event planning + Plan and facilitate transportation of equipment to events, including those out of town + Set up, break down, and operate A/V production equipment + Oversee and perform the installation, adjustment, and operation of high-tech level audiovisual equipment such as cameras, lights, video conference systems, audio, and microphones for events + Apply in-depth knowledge of A/V equipment to operate equipment during meetings, trouble-shoot problems under pressure, and respond quickly to requests during meetings + Develop and maintain A/V-related documentation, such as training and knowledge base material/documentation + Contribute to A/V projects and workstreams as needed + Provide support and coordination for virtual meetings, such as webinars and conference calls + Design, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot digital audio networks, including Dante and AVB-based systems, for live events, conference rooms, and hybrid meeting environments + Manage end-to-end audio signal flow, including gain staging, clock synchronization, multicast/unicast routing, latency management, and redundancy strategies + Coordinate with enterprise network teams to ensure proper QoS, VLAN segmentation, IGMP, and multicast configurations supporting real-time audio and video transport + Troubleshoot complex audio and signal-chain issues under live production conditions, including RF interference, clock drift, network congestion, and digital audio transport failures + Proactively learn new technologies and continue growing in A/V technology space + Provide white glove support for executive staff and their executive administrators. Other duties may be assigned as required **Requirements** **Education and Experience:** + Undergraduate degree in telecommunications, audio visual technologies, information technology, computer science, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education) + 5 to 8 years of progressive A/V, IT network management, or related experience + Knowledge of the following technologies: Webex Suite, Microsoft Teams, Cisco video conferencing hardware, Crestron, BiAmp, fundamental networking concepts, Production/Live Event hardware and concepts + Certification and/or License – CTS (Avixa Certified Technology Specialist) + Dante Level 2 or Level 3 Certification (preferred) **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Excellent ability to work live sound on modern public address (PA) system with wireless mics, monitoring system, video display switching system + Digital audio networking technologies (Dante, AVB), DSP platforms (BiAmp), control systems (Crestron), Cisco video conferencing hardware, Webex Suite, Microsoft Teams, production/live event hardware, and fundamental Layer 2/3 networking concepts supporting real-time media + Advanced live audio engineering skills, including mixing, dynamics processing, equalization, routing, and monitoring for spoken word and music environments + Strong understanding of digital audio theory, including sample rates, bit depth, clocking, latency, and jitter + Ability to diagnose and resolve network-based audio failures using vendor-specific tools (e.g., Dante Controller) and standard network troubleshooting techniques + Working knowledge of RF coordination and management for wireless microphones and in-ear monitoring systems + Strong technical problem-solving abilities, both with software and hardware systems + Strong customer-service orientation with a focus on customer satisfaction + Presentation and business acumen skills to support C-level meetings and activities + Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems + Able to use independent judgment in planning and organizing multiple tasks and information requirements + Able to demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism and integrity + Able to organize time, energy, and resources effectively to achieve goals (i.e., organizational skills) + Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing + Able to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals + Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills) + Able to demonstrate strong initiative and follow through on day-to-day responsibilities + Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail + Able to execute in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in difficult situations + Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment + Must be able to read, write and speak English An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
