How you’ll make an impact:
The Audiovisual Specialist is responsible for designing, supporting, and maintaining professional audiovisual systems across conference rooms, collaboration spaces, and event environments. This role applies intermediate‑level engineering expertise to ensure reliable, high‑quality AV experiences that support business operations, meetings, and enterprise events.
The position works independently on standard assignments while collaborating with senior engineers, vendors, and cross‑functional partners on more complex projects. This role represents Global Audio Visual to business partners and senior leadership, including executives, CVPs, and the CEO, and is expected to operate with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and technical confidence.
Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshooting, analysis, testing, implementation, and maintenance for AV systems, infrastructure, equipment, and software.Perform moderately complex AV engineering activities, including:Technical lead in the design and build of AV systems and technologies at new or renovated facilities.AV system administration and operations.Implementation of new applications and/or service offerings.Evaluation, testing, and proof‑of‑concept initiatives.Maintenance and upgrade activities on AV applications and platforms.Validation activities (authoring, reviewing, and testing).Serve as a technical lead in the administration and operations of AV applications and technologies.Lead RASP initiatives (reliability, availability, scalability, and performance).Resolve problems by performing root cause analysis and developing and leading the implementation of moderately complex corrective and preventative actions.Evaluate new applications, technologies, and service offerings in collaboration with internal partners and vendors.Lead and facilitate technical business requirements gathering sessions through direct engagement with business stakeholders.Author and maintain device, network, and system documentation.Regional Support & Travel Responsibilities:
Provide regional remote AV support, acting as a technical escalation point for break/fix issues and service disruptions.Provide regional on‑site travel support for break/fix resolution and new AV installations as required.Travel once or twice per quarter to support high‑visibility regional events, including:All‑Employee MeetingsCVP leadership meetingsBoard of Directors meetingsELT and CEO visitsSupport both planned and reactive executive engagements, ensuring a seamless and high‑confidence AV experience.Live Production & Executive Event Support (Critical Component):
Provide live event and production support for executive‑level meetings and business‑critical events.Demonstrated experience in corporate live production, including show calling, run‑of‑show execution, and on‑site event leadership, is strongly preferred and considered a significant plus.Serve as an on‑site AV lead during executive events, coordinating technical execution, vendors, and internal stakeholders.Interact directly with senior executives and leadership teams, representing Global Audio Visual with professionalism and authority.Role balance: Approximately 80% service, maintenance, and operational support and 20% live event support. While live support represents a smaller percentage of time, it is a mission‑critical responsibility with high visibility and impact.
What you'll need (Required):
High school diploma and solid, relevant work experience across IT Infrastructure Network/ IT Infrastructure Systems/ Enterprise Applications.University degree, professional certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, or VCA) preferred.Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.What else we look for (Preferred):
Ability to travel within the EMEA region.Experience supporting systems in a live production environment.Familiarity with Crestron electronics is a plus.Broad technical knowledge across multiple technologies, with deeper expertise in at least one or two technology stacks—especially in the engineering and design of AV applications, related technologies, and their integration with critical infrastructure.Moderate understanding of core IT domains, including equipment configuration, network addressing and routing, VoIP, BC/DR, server administration, virtualization (server and desktop), storage, email systems, database management, and application support.Strong problem‑solving abilities.Solid grasp of troubleshooting techniques and a willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.Strong customer‑focused mindset with excellent communication skills.Effective time‑management and proven problem‑resolution skills.
