Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + REGULATION DEVELOPMENT AND GENERAL LAW ATTORNEY: Provides legal representation and guidance for the Undersecretary, Other Executive Staff, and the Department on legal matters as follows: Assists in writing and the development, drafting, and review of proposed agency regulations. + Advises the Undersecretary and Human Resources Director on human resources and employment law matters. + Advises the agency on collections of delinquent fees and refers files to (Office of Debt Recovery (ODR for collection. Advises the agency on matters involving bankruptcy of regulated entities. + Reviews confidentiality requests, contracts, RFPs, and public record requests for the agency. Draft and review proposed legislation for the department and monitor bills during the Legislative Session + PERMITS ATTORNEY: Provides legal representation and guidance to the Office of Environmental Services and the Department on legal matters involving permit issues. + Represents the Department in various adversarial matters before administrative tribunals, state and federal district courts, and state and federal appellate courts.
