Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: In this role, you will: + Responsible for tax hearings and tobacco cash/credit hearings. Reviews and prosecutes applicant suitability issues. + Prosecutes administrative violations of ATC laws. Oversees the preparation of formal written hearing decisions setting forth findings of facts the applicable law, and reasons for the decision. + Prepares legal document, submitted evidence, arranges the appearance of witnesses, issues subpoenas and presents cases before administrative judges. + Develops and conducts agency-wide training on tobacco regulations, policies and procedures. + Develops and conducts tobacco awareness and education programs at schools and other public venues. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, Job Appointment, Detail to Special Duty or WAE Career Progression: This position may be filled as Attorney 1, 2 or 3. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER): The Attorney 1 (AS-617) has a starting rate of: $27.08/hourly; $2,166.40 biweekly. The Attorney 2 (AS-618) has a starting rate of: $28.98/hourly; $2,318.40 biweekly. The Attorney 3 (AS-620) has a starting rate of: $32.02/hourly; $2,561.60 biweekly.
