Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, WI is seeking a ATHLETIC TRAINER to join our ORTHOPEDIC CARE - RHINELANDER team!

The Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Evaluates, treats and plans patient care in accordance with Athletic Training standards, taking into account the needs of the patient as it pertains to the age and diagnosis of the patient. Incorporates patient and family education. Provides documentation for all of the above.

HOURS: Full time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks (Varied shifts based on school needs)

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of athletic training standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).Previous experience as an Athletic Trainer is beneficial.Post graduate education in an area of specialization, and experience in general practice of athletic training with experience in area of specialization preferred.State of Wisconsin or Michigan Athletic Trainer license (Business Unit Specific)Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).Current AED certification.Clinical Specialist certification beneficial.Possesses and maintains a valid Driver’s License required.Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.
