Athletic Trainer – Contract Assignment Location: North St. Louis Schedule: April 27 – June 15 (approx.) Hours: + Arrive 2:30 PM + Treatments: 3:00–3:30 PM + Non-game days: off at 5:30 PM + Game days: stay until competitions end + Home games only (no travel required) About the Role Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Athletic Trainer to support athletes through prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries. This role plays a key part in maintaining athlete safety and optimal performance through high-quality care and strong communication. The Athletic Trainer will work with athletes of all ages and collaborate closely with existing training staff to ensure consistent care standards and documentation practices. Key Responsibilities + Make a positive impact on athletes by preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating sports-related injuries + Provide excellent clinical care and support during treatments, practices, and home competitions + Conduct injury evaluations and accurately determine severity and care needs + Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans + Monitor athlete progress and adjust treatment plans as needed + Educate athletes on injury prevention and proper training techniques + Collaborate with physicians, coaches, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care + Document all treatments and evaluations in FinalForms for communication with parents and coaches + Utilize Google Forms daily for athlete treatment sign-ins + Maintain accurate, timely medical records + Uphold all safety, ethical, and professional standards + Foster a supportive and positive environment for athletes + Attend a handoff meeting with the current trainer to review office setup, documentation workflow, and expectations Daily Duties + Arrive around 2:30 PM to prepare for evaluations and treatments + Provide treatment sessions from 3:00–3:30 PM + Cover practices and home games + On non-game days, remain on site until 5:30 PM + On game days, stay until all competitions end + No travel required—home games only + Heaviest game schedule occurs in the first two weeks of May Requirements + State-issued Athletic Training license/certification/registration (as required by state) + NATABOC certification required + Minimum 3 years of athletic training experience preferred + Current CPR certification + Must be 18 years or older Additional Details + Modality: Athletic Trainer + Population: All ages + Caseload: TBD + Support: Works independently; coordination with existing trainer + Duration: April 27 – June 15 (approx.)
