About the Role  

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. 
 
In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion. 

As an Experienced Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency.

Experienced Senior Associate - Assurance (based in Arusha) 

 

The ideal candidate will need to have experience with large and medium sized clients across various industries. As an Experienced Senior Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive auditing and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.  

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to engagement managers and above 

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients of the firm, understanding opportunities to assist with their issues 

Assist in the review of client prepared financial statements 

Prepare concise, well written deliverables using appropriate business and technical language. 

Participates in project planning, administration and economics, e.g. budgeting, staffing, billing, and time analysis 

Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients 

Keep up to date with local, national, business and economic issues 

Provide coaching and feedback to junior members of the engagement team by taking responsibility for their career development 

Qualification & Experience 

Bachelor's degree in any discipline 

Relevant professional qualification (CPA/ACCA) 

At least 4 years of experience in the external audit field  

Competence and skills 

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and data analysis, with a high level of attention to detail 

Proven ability to support and manage engagement teams while collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, innovative environment 

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, applying logical judgement and commercial awareness across audit engagements 

Highly organised, self‑motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development
