Anderson Copper and Brass Company LLC d/b/a Anderson Fittings is a contract manufacturer of brass fittings used in plumbing and industrial applications. We manufacture and supply millions of fittings per month which go into products used everyday. Company consists of two plants uniquely equipped to forge and machine brass products which are cost effective on a global stage backed by a sound financial footing as part of The Marmon Group of companies. We are currently seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team.

Job Description

The Sr Accountant is responsible for providing coordination and day to day execution of company financial planning, reporting, and budget creation and management.Also responsible for ensuring that company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

Position Responsibilities

Daily activities include; review and approval of POs, credit memos, credit requests; determine and report daily/weekly shipments, inventory position, expenses.Close monthly books and records accurately and in a timely manner; monitor and analyze operating results against budget and forecast. Consolidating and uploading to corporate entity.Maintain the organization’s accounting control principles, practices and procedures and ensure compliance with reporting requirementsDevelop the annual operating budget and consult with departmental management on the fiscal aspects of program planning, salary recommendations, and other administrative actionsManage the preparation of annual reporting of actual revenues, transfers and expenses, financial outlooks and financial forecasts to corporate stakeholders.Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of company and departmentsRecommend and develop financial databases, computer software systems and manual systemsInteract with internal and external auditors as neededHave knowledge of, and gain expertise to become ERP power user.Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesExperience with performing annual or semi-annual physical inventory and knowledge of inventory costing methods.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projectionsWorking knowledge of short term and long term budgeting and rolling forecasting, and product-line profitability analysisStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and ability to participate in and facilitate group meetingsDemonstrated ability in directing and leading othersAbility to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projectsExperience with and extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as QAD or equivalent and One Stream is strongly preferred.Completion of a Bachelor’s in Accounting. A current CPA license is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost accounting, auditing, or currently in a controller level accounting position.Experience with a manufacturing/fabrication company with annual sales above $10 million desired.
