Assortment Planner (Hybrid)
Overview This hybrid position will be located at our Corporate Office in St. Petersburg, FL. Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an outgoing individual with replenishment / allocations / merchandising / buying / planning or retail store management experience with a passion for impressing the customer. Working at our corporate office, the Assortment Planner is responsible for partnering with Merchants to develop customer focused assortments and ensuring optimal inventory levels to achieve sales, turn and margin goals. You will utilize pre-season and in-season analysis that supports optimization of the best assortment to drive responsible growth for all channels. Our fast paced sneaker culture gives a high performing and collaborative person a place to grow beyond this role. Potential advancement includes other areas such as Buying, Planning, and other roles supporting our Men’s, Women’s and Kid’s business. We work with top brands such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Under Armour, Puma, and many more to ensure our stores always have the latest trends. Corporate Office - St. Petersburg 140 Fountain Parkway St. Petersburg, Florida 33716 Responsibilities Develop pre-season assortment plans supporting the merchandise and financial strategies of the Family of Business (FOB) and/or gender category Develop sku count/inventory strategies by season, by brand accounting for carryover inventory/sku counts Create and maintain vendor ladder plans and forecasts utilizing SAS Planning Communicate vendor results and outlook monthly Provide risks and opportunities to vendor partners Attend vendor pre-season meetings, line reviews, and market travel (2-4 per year) Create vendor matrix that aggregates to the Seasonal Financial Plan by FOB/gender Create and maintain vendor 3-year strategic sales and receipt plan, partnering with merchants on strategic growth decisions Create and maintain key item/brand id and ladder plans Partner with vendors on selling, and inventory position to show opportunities for increased allocations on key items, directly leading to increased sales Develop recommendations for vendor RTV quarterly and partner with logistics team to execute Be a student of the overall business and an authority of your area of responsibility Use business acumen and communicate your findings to your respective buying team Partner with other banner Assortment Planners on best practices #LI-PF1 Qualifications Degrees in Apparel, Merchandising, Design, Finance/Economics, Retail Management or other business degrees preferred Minimum 3 years of applicable work experience Intermediate Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables, vlookups and charts & graphs Experience with Power BI is a plus An advanced understanding of retail math Experience within the retail industry at a management level or knowledge of the sports environment is a plus Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.
