Cleveland Clinic Ventures (CCV) invests, as the venture capital arm of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF), in medical technology, therapeutic, diagnostic, and digital health companies. The CCV team enables and supports physician innovators at CCF and enhances the entrepreneurial culture through the creation and nurturing of companies that are positioned to disrupt the status quo. CCV develops, finances, and grows these companies by working closely with founders, entrepreneurs, strategic partners, and co-investors as a value-added partner. Our investment focus includes innovations based on intellectual property developed at the Cleveland Clinic, as well as companies that drive strategic value and address our organizational priorities. **A caregiver in this position works a hybrid schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Analyze financial results of Innovations New Companies' startups compared to plans and forecasts + Identify trends in the industry and specific markets for each startup's specific technology and competition. + Coordinate activities across the Innovations Commercialization team and participates in the ongoing development of Innovations New Companies team by fostering on-going external relationships with entrepreneurial, strategic and venture communities. + Interface with Cleveland Clinic startup Board Members and Directors as well as the General Manager, New Companies to ensure that the goals of the Innovations New Companies team are advanced. + Work with the Cleveland Clinic startup company team to create and deliver investor presentations that are designed to attract and expedite the investment of external capital into companies formed by the Cleveland Clinic. + Work with Cleveland Clinic startup companies to keep corporate documents up to date including financial statements, business plans, Board meeting minutes and legal documents. + Assemble, verify, and maintain deal room data for Innovations New Companies portfolio companies. + Work with General Manager, New Companies on portfolio company performance benchmarks and reporting such as forward-looking Key Performance Indicators for companies for stakeholders related to the Cleveland Clinic startups. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's degree in life or physical sciences, biomedical engineering, finance, or business or another relevant field. + Advanced Excel modeling skills, including budgeting and forecasting as well as market analysis + Strong interpersonal skills that will prove useful in working across the Cleveland Clinic environment and our portfolio companies and co-investors. + A high level of intellectual curiosity + A desire to live in the greater Cleveland area on a full-time basis. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + 3+ years of experience in healthcare including specific transaction experience, with expertise in venture-stage investments preferred + Master of Business Administration or equivalent is preferred Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
