About this role Dow DCS G.China C&E TS&D team is now open for a position as an Associate TS&D Scientist located inTaipei,Taiwan. This position will closely partner with sales, marketing, and PD(Product Development) to fully interact and collaborate with electronics customers in Taiwan, support business growth, drive innovation in this region and further influence global business growth. Responsibilities: + Support Business Growth + Promote existing and new products (mainly silicone products such as thermal interface material, adhesive, encapsulant, gel, conformal coating, etc) and spec in our products for the target applications – 3C(Computing, Communication and Consumer) and Industry Electronics. + On-site technical service to assist customer in the proper application of our products, such as setting up standard operating procedure(SOP) for operations. + Resolve issues encountered by customers during product use by designing and performing experiments in lab + Handle quality issues by coordinating with internal commercial and production team and ultimately address it. + Innovation + Understand customers’ unmet needs, translate to critical requirements accordingly and collaborate with internal cross functional teams to initiate new projects to develop and commercialize new products. + Application Development – Establish internal capabilities to mimic customer applications, study and define material requirements and support product development and application. + Technical documentation: Capable of preparing technical reports, product data sheets, application guides, external presentations, as well as delivering external speeches and training sessions. + Safety -Serves as the Environmental, Health & Safety advocate, ensures understanding and adherence to policies and procedures, willing to be the model of best safety practices, habits, and behaviors. Qualifications + Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D with majors in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Material Science, or relevant scientific field. + Technical Experience: Minimum 8 years’ working experience with more than 5 years in electronics industry as application & technical service, or product development; Application knowledge in 3C(computing, communication and consumer) and Industry electronics component assembly is desired like AI Chip, server, computer, PCB, telecommunication device, power modules, appliance, smart phone, etc; Product knowledge in silicone thermal interface materials, adhesive, sealant, encapsulant, gel, conformal coating, etc. would be preferred (or organic materials like epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic). + Languages: Good written and verbal communication skills both in English and Mandarin Chinese + Soft Skills: + Good interpersonal and communication skills + Good learning ability Benefits – What Dow offers you We invest in you.
