Associate Technician - Pole Maintenance
**What’s The Role** The Associate Pole Maintenance Tech operates in a dynamic team driven environment responsible for the debushing and clearing of poles and cables for Flow on their outside plant in both Trinidad and Tobago. This individual is also responsible for Pole Planting. **What You´ll Do** PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Debushing, clearing and maintenance of poles and cables that may be aerial or underground. + Pole planting and pole swapping as necessary/directed. + Reports on work completed. + Identify proactive work required and report on. + Initiate on maintenance to extend the life of our network + From time to time, may be called upon to support cable pulls aerial and via ducting. + Must provide data reports with GIS coordinates via tools provided by the company and all necessary reports required. + Maintain and keep functional all equipment and machinery of the plant, yard and office facility in compliance with all applicable OSHA safety policies and local codes + Performs work near power lines and electricity. + Ability to work on-call and travel as the job requires. + Follow OSHA and Safety procedures. + May be required to drive company vehicles. + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by your Director, Manager or Supervisor **Knowledge & Experience** + 5 O’ levels including Mathematics and English. + Knowledge of HFC and Fiber cables considered an asset. + Ability to function in a fast-paced environment + Valid Drivers licence **MANDATORY:** + Heavy T license **SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Excellent verbal and written communication skills responsible, dependable and motivated. + Customer focused + Teamwork + Time Management + Communications + Positive attitude, good judgment and strong work ethic. + Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to add positively to team dynamic. + Ability to perform work responsibilities in a neat, thorough, and organized manner + Must maintain confidentiality in all company and customer related matters + Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules **Who We Are** We are the leading telecommunications company, connecting more than 40 markets in Latin America and the Caribbean with our video, broadband internet, telephony, and mobile services under the consumer brands VTR, Flow, Liberty, Más Móvil, BTC, and Cabletica.
