We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite at our Drive Systems Center in Grand Prairie, TX. This position is first shift however second shift may be required based upon business needs.

Drive Systems Test Lab

Bring your mechanical experience and ideas to help us support the flight test and fatigue test environments at Bell. You’ll work with other technicians and engineers at Bell to assemble aircraft components and complete testing for component validation. These components will be used on flight aircraft as well as in dynamic test machines. This role is an integral part of the testing team at Bell, working to further improve component lives and certification activities across multiple platforms.

What you’ll be doing as an Associate Technician in our Drive Systems Test Lab:

Accountable for care and proper load application on various aircraft and test components following Engineering Laboratory Operating Procedures and Engineering Instructions.

Build and maintain test stand configurations, building test specimens, perform testing, and documenting and photographing results.

Interact with test engineers and other laboratory technicians to ensure that assigned DSTL test program requirements in the lab facilities are fulfilled.

Maintain communication with personnel in other laboratories and departments to ensure a coordinated effort is maintained and continued support of assigned tasks.

Adhere to requirements for accurate record keeping, documentation, and helicopter component assembly/installation.

SKILLS YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, reports, specifications, and/or engineering instructions to care for, install and properly load dynamic components.

Organization skills to properly relay and document results and procedures.

Effective communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships with the DSTL and other departments at Bell.

What you need to be Successful:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Strong mechanical skills

Your own set of mechanics hand tools

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for 9 hours

Ability to work 2nd shift as needed based on business needs
