Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Associate Tech Lead – Systems Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate the Automation of our Manufacturing Lines at Production Facilities across globe. As a Tech lead, you will collaborate closely with Advance Manufacturing Team, Plant team & cross-functional teams to build world class Assembly and Test systems to meet the Industry 4.0 standards. The Automation could be in the areas of PLC Programming using IEC61131-3 standards (CODESYS, AB), HMI & SCADA developments using Ignition (Vision & Perspective), IIoT, optional Vision & Robot Programming.

What will you do:
In this role you will:
· Apply strong automation expertise to develop PLC, Robot & Vision programs for assembly line automation and develop UI interface using Ignition Vision & Perspective modules providing rich user interface.
· Create complete architecture for various assembly line needs, interfacing field devices & industrial communication protocols.
· Conduct design reviews, code optimization to create robust automation systems.
· Work closely with plant networking team in determining project specific networking (IT & OT) architecture.
· Interaction with Global Automation Team for networking & architecture approvals
· Collect data from legacy, latest equipment’s/machineries using OPC UA’s and industrial gateways to generate KPIs
· Work closely with cross functional teams mechanical design, software, PMO team to meet project schedules.
· Both domestic and international travel may be required.
What you will bring:
· Effective and efficient completion of projects by planning and implementing courses of action with other functions and key stakeholders.
· Good working knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA development, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to quickly and efficiently understand, organize information necessary to make engineering decisions.
· Have an innovative approach to improve processes and solve problems.
· Effective communication and presentation skills, along with a self-starter mindset.
· Experience with COESYS, Studio 5000, Ignition software and basic knowledge in SQL/Non-Sql DB & Python programming.
· 2+ years of experience leading automation projects & managing stakeholders independently.
· An Electrical & Electronics engineer with 8+ years of experience in the field of special purpose machines and assembly automation
