Trane is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as an Associate Tech Lead – Applied Mechanics in the Electronics Reliability domain. In this pivotal role, you will support new product development, new technology investigation, quality & reliability issues and value engineering & value analysis projects through structural, dynamic simulation. As an associate tech lead, you will be expected to have good knowledge in electronics reliability, durability analysis and vibration testing. Experience in Ansys Sherlock tool is a MUST.

Where is the work:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What will you do:
In this role you will:
· Conduct comprehensive reliability analysis of electronic components and systems using Ansys Sherlock to predict potential failure modes and mechanisms.
· Exhibit excellent knowledge in fatigue and system durability
· Have good knowledge on vibration and its data acquisition
· Have knowledge in vibration-based condition monitoring/prognostics, data science and artificial intelligence
· Utilize practical experience to conduct Finite Element Analysis and durability analysis of electronic circuits
· Apply strong background in Strength of Materials to ensure the durability and strength of products, while also accounting for fatigue
· Demonstrate a deep understanding of ECAD, Electronic component/parts and material properties.
· Apply your knowledge in electronic reliability analysis to improve product performance and reliability.
· Possess strong communication skills to effectively convey findings and collaborate with team members
What you will bring:
· Holding a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on experience specifically in the field of mechanical engineering.
· Possessing at least 7 years of relevant experience in Ansys Sherlock and Ansys Mechanical analysis.
· Demonstrating a deep understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, with a strong knowledge base in Strength of Materials, Failure Theories, Mechanical Vibrations, and Fatigue.
· Candidates with expertise in vibration profile generation and vibration testing, will be given preference.
· Previous experience in performing FE-Test comparisons for dynamic analysis is required.
· Familiarity with fatigue calculations using tools such as nCode or FE Safe is necessary.
· Having experience in vibration testing using LMS or B&K data acquisition is desirable.
· Experience in conducting accelerated vibration life testing for dynamic and thermal issues would be an advantage.
