Position OverviewQinetiQ US is seeking an Associate Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team and help ensure that our suppliers consistently deliver high-quality materials, components, and services. This is an early-career opportunity where you will gain experience in supplier quality processes while supporting more senior engineers. The role is focused on problem-solving, collaboration, and building supplier relationships to strengthen our supply base.
Responsibilities Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by reviewing nonconforming material, coordinating supplier responses, and ensuring timely closure of issuesWork with suppliers to resolve missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation, including certifications, inspection reports, and compliance recordsAssist with the initiation, tracking, and follow-up of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)Monitor and maintain supplier performance metrics, providing regular updates to the quality and supply chain teamsSupport supplier assessments and audits; may occasionally perform supplier evaluations under supervisionPartner with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, and operations) to resolve supplier-related issuesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier quality and business processes Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)0–2 years of experience requiredFamiliarity with AS9102 First Article InspectionsStrong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detailEffective communication skills for working with suppliers and internal stakeholdersProficiency with Microsoft Office10% TravelMust be able to obtain a DOD security clearance if required Preferred Qualifications Experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain preferredBackground in DoD sub-tier supplier managementExperience in highly regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar)Experience with ERP or quality systems is a bonusFamiliarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar) is a plus Company EEO Statement
