Job Description
This role involves the development, negotiation, and administration of subcontract agreements and licenses of varying dollar value, risk, and complexity. The position supports the Contract Closeout Team within Finance Services, ensuring all activities comply with contractual, regulatory, and internal policies.
ResponsibilitiesManage the full lifecycle of contract and subcontract closeouts in accordance with FAR policies.Ensure audit readiness and compliance through ethical business practices.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in FUSION, including customer point of contact and address.Research and document physical files; reconcile CDMS+ data with the Contracts System.Update FUSION with rates, fee percentages, FCCOM documentation, and Master Agreement details.Monitor CPFF contracts and correctly identify Completion vs. Term types.Meet weekly, periodic, and annual goals for closeouts, canceling funds, and backlog reduction.Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders using appropriate methods.Escalate issues as needed and provide interim status updates.Create solicitations, analyze and estimate costs, and negotiate specifications, pricing, periods of performance, and deliverables.Ensure compliance with contract terms and deliverables throughout the contract lifecycle.Conduct price analysis and negotiate price-related terms and subcontract provisions.Collaborate with program staff to ensure performance compliance.Typically manage subcontracts valued up to $50,000; may handle higher-value subcontracts with oversight.Essential SkillsWorking knowledge of procurement, business and contract law, finance, accounting, and standard operating procedures.Ability to apply training and experience to make informed decisions.Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and professionalism.Commitment to being respectful, responsive, and results-driven.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in contract/subcontract administration.Proficiency with MS Office Suite tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Management Agency requirements for contract and subcontract closeout.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Clear understanding of all contract types and ability to read and interpret contract and invoice documents.Familiarity with CostPoint, Hyperion, Cognos, OAC, and Sharepoint.Approach all assignments with a sense of responsibility and ownership.Ability to think beyond the script to solve complex problems and continually look for process improvements.Interact professionally with a positive attitude and an open mind to new ideas and change.Work Environment
The work environment involves interacting daily with supervisors, procurement staff, suppliers, and internal customers. The role requires working independently on routine tasks with general guidance on more complex assignments. You are expected to maintain a consistent schedule, charge your time correctly, and work required overtime when necessary.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.45 - $22.45/hr.
