As part of the antibody discovery group, this individual will perform an essential role to support early-stage discovery programs by purification and qualification of antibody samples. They will be expected to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and record work in detailed electronic notebooks.Specific Tasks:\tPlan, perform, analyze, and document laboratory experiments \tExecute purification (mostly antibody) workflows with different platforms using a variety of chromatographic techniques. o\tPrimary responsibility – high-throughput, small-scale, magnetic beads and magnetic bead handlers o\tMid-scale level either magnetic beads or protein maker (24 columns at once) o\tActa systems for large-scale polishing\tBuffer exchange, quality control and characterization of purified samples.\tExpected to handle a large volume of purification samples with high attention to detail\tTroubleshoot and optimize purification workflows to improve their efficiency \tMaintain laboratory instruments and supplies

•\tKnowledge and hands-on-experience with antibody purification (protein purification is a MUST HAVE) and different characterization methods (SDS PAGE, CE-SDS, SEC, Western Blotting, etc.) required/nice-to-have.•\tBS degree with 3 - 5+ years of experience or MS with 3+ years of related experience. Some flexibility on experience level depending on person and type of experience•\tBS or MS in Bio, BioChem, Chem (customer requirement) or related•\tMust haves: o\t experience using Microsoft software o\tprotein purification methods) o\tExperience with some of the various characterization methods (SDS PAGE, CE-SDS, SEC, Western Blotting, etc.). •\tExperience with liquid handling automation or high-throughput purification automation preferred.•\tExperience with aseptic techniques for sterile protein purification is a plus.Culture Fit (Soft Skills)•\tStrong organization, communication, and Microsoft software skills.•\tFlexible and enthusiastic in a fast-paced biotech.•\tExcellent communication and teamwork abilities.•\tWill collaborate with many different functional groups.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
