Associate Software Engineer in Test

Our rapidly expanding new Chubb Engineering Center in Greece (CECG) is integrated with the Engineering Centers in India and Mexico to support our global technology needs and digital business transformation, as well as the company's operations in the Europe - Middle East - Africa region operating in 27 countries.

Chubb is looking for a Junior Software Engineer in Test to join our team in ensuring the quality of our software upgrades prior to their release. You will collaborate closely with our development, business, and project teams to identify and report bugs, validate fixes, and ensure products adhere to our rigorous testing quality standards.
 

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain test scenarios and test cases according to new software enhancements and requirements.Execute test plans and test cases to a high-level detail to ensure the quality of our software releases.Document test results as well as raise and track defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.Understand test execution failure; triage errors and bugs and ensure re-test success.Work closely with our development teams to understand testing requirements/Acceptance Criteria and ensure that they are met.Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting progress to the Project/Development Teams.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet our customers' needs and expectations.Actively participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and demos to ensure that the team is on track to meet its goals and continuously improving its processes.To identify areas of opportunity within the team for enhancing overall effectiveness and quality, and to propose initiatives to address these.

Qualifications:

Education to degree level and or a Professional IT Qualification preferred1-3 years of experience in manual software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, automation will be a plusWorking knowledge of Computer Development and Programming would be advantageousStrong attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with JIRA would be advantageous but not essentialExperience with automated testing tools and scripting languages would be advantageous but not essential
