Our client, a leader in pharmaceutical research and development, is seeking an Associate Scientist I to join their team. As an Associate Scientist I, you will be part of the Vaccines Early BioProcess Analytical Development group supporting laboratory operations and vaccine development projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Associate Scientist I
**Location:** Pearl River, New York
**Duration:** 12+ Months Contract.
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform routine sample testing to support vaccine development efforts, including bioprocess and formulation development, release, stability, and characterization studies.
+ Set up experiments, monitor ongoing experiments, and analyze data using electronic laboratory notebooks.
+ Contribute to the development and qualification of analytical methods such as ELISAs and other plate-based assays.
+ Document experimental procedures and results accurately, preparing technical reports and supporting documentation.
+ Collaborate with team members, participate in meetings, and communicate findings effectively to support project goals.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor's degree in biology or a related discipline with 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
+ Basic understanding of antibody-antigen interactions and bioassay techniques.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency with personal computers, including word processing, spreadsheets, and scientific software.
+ Experience with plate-based immune methods or automation tools like Hamilton STAR is a plus.
