Job Summary:
As an Associate Scientist, Lab Operations (LCMS), you will focus on sample preparation activities that support LCMS-based assays in a regulated laboratory environment. You will help ensure high-quality, reliable data by executing established methods, maintaining strong documentation, and collaborating across the laboratory team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform routine sample preparation (such as extractions, dilutions, and plate setup) to support LCMS analyses following established methods and SOPs
Coordinate hand-off of prepared samples to mass spectrometry platforms under appropriate guidance
Document all sample handling, preparation steps, and analytical activities in accordance with GLP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
Prepare and manage reagents, buffers, and calibration standards, and accurately enter data and metadata into LIMS and related laboratory systems
Support troubleshooting of sample preparation issues, assist with quality investigations, and contribute to procedural updates and process improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional laboratory teams and assist with onboarding and training of entry-level staff on sample preparation workflows and safety practices
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, cytotechnology, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with sample preparation techniques that support LCMS workflows (for example, extractions, protein precipitation, or solid-phase extraction)
Familiarity with front-end liquid chromatography (HPLC/LC) and familiarity with regulated laboratory environments and GLP standards
Proficiency with basic laboratory software tools, including LIMS or similar systems, and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $41,400.00 - $86,100.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
