Job Title: Associate Scientist, Analytical Sciences
Location: Rockville, MD (Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract 
Pay Rate: $34–$45/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; occasional weekend work
Start Date: ASAP

Overview: 

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Associate Scientist to support analytical testing for monoclonal antibody (mAb) programs in a GMP-regulated environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with ELISA and qPCR-based assays, demonstrate strong aseptic technique, and be comfortable working with minimal oversight. This position is onsite at a growing biologics company with an innovative pipeline and collaborative culture.

Responsibilities: 

Analytical Testing – Perform ELISA- and qPCR-based sample testing (residual HCP, residual DNA, Protein A, and potency assays) to support development and manufacturing projects. Instrumentation  – Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical equipment including ELISA plate washers/readers and biosafety cabinets. Sample Management & Timely Reporting  – Execute testing workflows efficiently while meeting internal deadlines and documenting results per established protocols Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field

Hands-on experience performing analytical assays (residual HCP, residual DNA, Protein A, ELISA potency)

Proficiency with ELISA plate readers/washers, biosafety cabinets, and aseptic technique

Working knowledge of qPCR and DNA extraction methods (e.g., KingFisher) preferred

Familiarity with SoftMax Pro software

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced lab environment
