Job Title: Associate Scientist, Analytical Sciences Location: Rockville, MD (Onsite) Duration: 6-Month Contract Pay Rate: $34–$45/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; occasional weekend work Start Date: ASAP Overview: We’re seeking a detail-oriented Associate Scientist to support analytical testing for monoclonal antibody (mAb) programs in a GMP-regulated environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with ELISA and qPCR-based assays, demonstrate strong aseptic technique, and be comfortable working with minimal oversight. This position is onsite at a growing biologics company with an innovative pipeline and collaborative culture. Responsibilities: + Analytical Testing – Perform ELISA- and qPCR-based sample testing (residual HCP, residual DNA, Protein A, and potency assays) to support development and manufacturing projects. + Instrumentation – Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical equipment including ELISA plate washers/readers and biosafety cabinets. + Sample Management & Timely Reporting – Execute testing workflows efficiently while meeting internal deadlines and documenting results per established protocols Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field + Hands-on experience performing analytical assays (residual HCP, residual DNA, Protein A, ELISA potency) + Proficiency with ELISA plate readers/washers, biosafety cabinets, and aseptic technique + Working knowledge of qPCR and DNA extraction methods (e.g., KingFisher) preferred + Familiarity with SoftMax Pro software + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced lab environment System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
