Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space and Launch Organization is looking for an Associate Resource Controller (Level 2) to join our Proprietary Programs team in Herndon, Virginia.

In this very unique and exciting role, you will support installation, set-up and operational support with varying operating systems and hardware interfaces.  You must have a good understanding of IT concepts and the ability to think independently and create solutions with non-standard equipment, duties will include working within and supporting proprietary areas.

Position Responsibilities:   

Assist in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.

 Provide support for the design, validation, and implementation of changes to computing delivery systems.

Perform system monitoring and backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability.

Administer user’s system access to meet security requirements. Perform problem resolution as appropriate.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

1+ years of experience in Linux systems administration

Willingness to work a rotating shift to include weekends and holidays

Willingness to work in a 24x7 operations and support process experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree in IT related field

Experience using computing systems at work

Experience configuring and troubleshooting complex networks

2+ years of experience with Linux Operating Systems

Basic knowledge of the Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process or other engineering problem resolution/solution process

Summary pay range: $73,950 - $100,050
