The Associate Project Manager will oversee the design and construction of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. The goal is to implement high-efficiency systems and energy recovery solutions to help Danfoss achieve its decarbonization targets by 2030. This position represents Danfoss, Owner, by managing projects that vary in size and complexity, including renovations, upgrades, and new construction. - Handle project budgets, schedules, design processes, contract administration, and project close-out. - Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and safety professionals to ensure successful project delivery while following Danfoss policies. Under the guidance and support of the real estate organization, the Project Manager will manage the portfolio of energy reduction projects within the US. This role requires the ability to think strategically and operate independently, making sound decisions and effectively communicating with various stakeholders. This position effectively communicates and integrates with corporate subject matter experts, external engineering consultants, contractors, and local real estate and safety professionals to ensure a comprehensive team approach to project delivery and maintaining Danfoss policies and procedures. You will report to the Head of Real Estate, Americas, work together with our global Portfolio office, and play a meaningful role as part of a team of global project management professionals, who are driving value for Danfoss. **What You’ll Be Doing** Project Management Responsibilities · Lead all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) including planning, design, construction, and closeout. · Demonstrate capability to read, understand, and apply standard/procedural documents affecting multi-disciplined projects, including requests for bids, agreements/contracts terms, project charters, project budgets, project schedules, and site/record drawings. · Interact directly with engineering, contractors, and stakeholders to define project requirements and confirm project scope. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & achievements, quality control, and risk identification. · Identify project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists; Conducts simple request for proposals; completes bid analysis. Recommends resources to clients. · Lead project delivery/team (typically smaller team) providing project mentorship and direction to achieve project goals. · Implement communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources advised. Facilitates project meetings. · Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensures project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated. · Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. · Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure Client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk with management support. · Reviews contractor invoicing confirming work is completed per contract. · Implement standard risk management routines, to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement plans to reduce or eliminate project risks **What We're Looking For** Minimum Requirements · Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or Certification from a trade school (preferably electrical, plumbing, or HVAC) plus 5 years of construction-related project management experience will be considered. · Minimum 2 years of construction-related project management experience · Project Management leadership experience required. · Knowledge of building regulations, permits, and project management methodology is required. · Experience developing investment plans and executing according to plan. · Networking, influencing, negotiating, and collaborating competencies. · Able to travel up to 25% of the time. · Ideal candidate will be located within 50 miles from a Danfoss location in IA, IL, OH, or MN · This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
