About the role The Associate Product Manager will support the Residential Business Unit's product lines by executing tactical steps for various product categories. Responsibilities include assisting with new product launches and sustaining legacy products, as well as providing basic technical support to Sales, Customer Service, and other departments as needed. This role will also assist leadership in roadmap planning and product line growth and profitability. This position is onsite and can be located either at our Melville, NY or New Orleans, LA locations, with the ability to work from home 1 day a week. Responsibilities Facilitate support function activities to sustain and build product lines. Conduct market, technology, and competitive research. Assist with establishing product vision and defining roadmaps. Analyze product line performance (profitability, forecasts, inventory levels, etc.) and provide recommendations to management Create product forecasts and coordinate to establish appropriate inventory levels Assist with the development of business proposals Manage assigned deliverables for phase gate product development process (PAC). Assist with establishing product pricing and assessing product costs and gross margins. Working with cross-functional teams, assist with the coordination of product launches. Recommend marketing materials and assist with their development. Support Sales channels as needed to make assigned product lines successful. Assist in the development of appropriate training materials for the value chain. Manage all web related activities for assigned product lines. Additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications Engineering background or tech-savvy with understanding of business operations. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate presentations. Analytical with the ability to think creatively and solve practical problems. Adept organizational and time management skills. Able to cultivate and maintain work relationships. Proficient in MS Office tools. Capable of maintaining confidentiality, working in a highly confidential work environment. Working knowledge of product development and design is a plus. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree required, focused in engineering or other technical discipline, or business administration. Minimum of 1 year experience in a technical or business related role, or prior co-op/internship experience. Experience with or working knowledge of manufacturing and operations processes. Prior experience or knowledge of power distribution products (load centers, circuit breakers, etc.) is a plus!
