Position Overview:

Boeing Global Services Supplier Management Team  is currently looking for an Associate Procurement Agent to join their team in Bangalore, India. This team seeks a highly-skilled and motivated individual.

This is an individual contributor position in a growing global organization. The individual will partner with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure material availability while ensuring service delivery excellence to all business partners.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. He or she must be flexible to accommodate business requirements that span multiple time zones having international experience working with diverse groups and cultures . The ability to multi task & deliver within timelines is essential. Practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, SAP understanding is preferred. The candidate will have excellent communications skills and Supplier Engagement Acumen.  He or she must be able to maintain positive relationships with leadership at all levels of the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Oversee Purchasing Activities in the Area of Direct Materials and ensure purchased items are both cost effective and of high qualityDrive and Monitor towards Closures for RFQs to Approved VendorsResponsible for Timely Receipt of Materials, Expedites & Supplier management and improve supplier performance in terms of On-Time-DeliveryExpedite Customer and Supplier Past Due line items and improve recoveryDrive continuous improvement projects with supplierOwnership towards Supplier Payments, Stock Transfer Orders, Return to Vendors and Return Material AuthorizationFind opportunities for cost savings in terms of including non contracted parts into spares contract to gain cost advantageWhere applicable, liaise with Boeing Commercial Airplane Contract PA for resolving contract issues related to price, MOQ, Lead timeTracking and Reporting Key Functional Metrics to improve Process EffectivenessPartnering with Stakeholders to Ensure Clear Requirements DocumentationFostering Relationship with Primary Vendors and Strategize ProcurementQuality of Reporting in Terms of Data Accuracy and Drive Hygiene in SAPPromote Process Efficiencies through Automated Channels where Applicable Communicating and Negotiating with Vendors and or Internal Stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5-8 years of relevant work experience in Supply ChainPowerBI tool knowledge is mustHands on experience in Procure to Pay Process in SAP or equivalent environmentGood written and oral communication skills in EnglishPrior working experience in Aerospace Industry is preferredAnalytical SkillsExposure to Global Business Interactive EnvironmentFlexibility in Work hours due to Sites in Europe and USGo- Getter and Team Oriented PersonHigh Level of Integrity and Dependability Proven Soft Skills – working inclusively within and cross functional teams,Proactive approach and willingness to take up new challenges

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

SAP Material Management

Prior working experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is preferred.

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically,  5-8 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.”
