Is the Associate Process Engineer role right for you?

This role aims for college graduates who have the desire to excel in today’s fast-paced engineering environment. We will provide you with exposure to the various facets of engineering within a diverse Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization. Your technical skill set will be enhanced by providing you exposure to experienced professionals and various food production settings.

This role will allow for consistent growth and individual development opportunities. You will develop and define manufacturing processes that accommodate specific consumer and marketplace requirements for new products, while meeting process, quality, and cost objectives. You can also expect to:

Learn and apply the Methodology of Product/Process/Package Development (MOPD)Define the physical, chemical, and biological transformations that must occur to produce new food productsExecute bench-top and pilot plant testing to develop prototypes and prove hypothesesMaintain accurate and complete records and distill them to Intellectual PropertyMonitor consumer trends and wants/needs within the food industry

  

Do you have what it takes?

You will complete your Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Food, or Biological Engineering or a related program of study no later than June 2023 (January start dates available for December grads)You have experience with process technology documentationYou desire to be a leader and grow within the Research & Development functionYou have the flexibility to relocateYou can travel up to 25%You have proven leadership abilities (i.e. collaboration, influencing & problem solving skills)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally; lift up to 25 lbs. regularlyWork extensively in pilot plant and or production plant floor environmentExposure to manufacturing environments for periodic extended work days to include:  loud noise, heat, cold, wet, and slippery conditionsWalking and/or standing for long periods of timeClimbing to various heights via stairs or laddersBending and/or crawling; must be able to move safely and freely around machinery

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$59,000-$78,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
