Job Summary
Responsibilities
Hands-on experience with electron beam lithography.Proficient in UV lithography techniques, including the use of UV aligners and maskless aligner systems.Practical experience with semiconductor processing in a research laboratory setting.Performs cleanroom protocols and working conditions.Supports process development activities under the direction of the Executive Director.Proficient in the use of semiconductor metrology tools, including, but not limited to spectroscopic ellipsometry, reflectometry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), stylus profilometry, optical microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.Performs routine preventive maintenance and calibrations in accordance with manufacturer specifications.Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues, applying root cause analysis and using diagnostic/test equipment.Modifies equipment when necessary to improve uptime and optimize process performance.Maintains select tools in full operational condition and manages critical spare parts inventory.Independently develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs).Coordinates with vendors for technical assistance, maintenance, and support.Performs new equipment installations, assists with start-up, and conducts acceptance testing.Establishes and implements preventive maintenance strategies.Trains new users on tool operations and cleanroom protocols.Provides hands-on user support and guidance during tool usage.With moderate guidance, researches, designs, and evaluates mechanical processes and systems.Uses mechanical and construction knowledge to install, maintain, and repair electronic systems.Analyzes tool performance, collects operating data, and conducts experimental testing.Performs development activities including drawing board layout, interpretation and implementation of project specifications and documentation requirements.Conducts engineering studies and assigns work to technical staff. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Plans own resources effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time, to standard and to budget.Performs other related work as needed.
