Job Overview

As an Associate Principal of the DTAS (Data, technology and Advisory Services) Strategic Advisory team, you will work directly with life sciences clients as a trusted partner, helping them navigate complex strategic, technological, and operational challenges. You will shape and deliver high‑impact consulting engagements for VP+ stakeholders, building deep client intimacy through insight‑driven dialogue, proactive partnership, and consistent delivery excellence.

You will be accountable for driving client satisfaction, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the team in achieving and exceeding its commercial ambitions.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Associate Principal at IQVIA, you will be responsible for managing or leading multiple engagements and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries by:  

Managing project teams in the design, development and delivery of client deliverablesLeveraging business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client questionsServing as key point of contact with clientsProviding follow-up with clients after engagements have been completed to ensure client satisfactionEnsuring clear communication throughout projects and within the teamSupporting the development of intellectual property for use on future engagementsManaging the process of proposal preparation and/or modifications including overall bid integrityDeveloping and/or elevating new business opportunities through the identification of follow-on work and new leadsDeveloping broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and trainingProviding direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams. Direct consulting teams through consistent participation in team meetingsProviding high level input to, and ensures the development of, client reports and presentations and delivery of all or significant portions of findings to clientSharing subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clientsLeading ad hoc work streams on critical people-related issues such as recruitment, learning and developmentServing as a coach to junior members

About You

Candidates interested in joining our Advisory Services Group as an Associate Principal (Analytics focus) should have:

Typically, 7-10 years professional experience in insights and analytics within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with evidence of career progressionPure play Go-to-market/commercial strategy focus, i.e. sales force effectiveness toolbox, Segmentation and Targeting, Field Force Sizing, etc. Launch Excellence, Promotional effectiveness, commercial analytics. Operating model design experience in commercialDemonstrable analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skillsExperience in and commitment to the life sciences and/or healthcare industriesMinimum of 2-3 years project management/leadership experience focused on multi country strategic consulting engagementsWell-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, leading meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writingStrong capability in managing large and/or multiple projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomesExperience working in multi-disciplined teamsExperience in developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industryExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goalsAbility to contribute to business development through the identification of leads, development of proposals etc.Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industriesKnowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, graduate degree or MBA not required but a plusA track record of leadership and people developmentFluency in English (spoken and written)A willingness and ability to travel (<25%)Right to live and work in the recruiting country
