We're looking for strategic thinkers and collaborators who have a strong background in the many complex needs of financial planning as well as a deep desire to put their clients first in everything they do. **Although this position is designated as remote, regular travel to our Grand Rapids, MI location will be required. The role may also involve occasional travel to our St. Louis, MO and Tempe, AZ home office locations. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in or near the Grand Rapids, MI area.** **What You Will Do:** The Associate Planner is responsible for leveraging the extensive resources of our home office to support our senior planner and financial advisors in serving HNW clients with complex needs. This position plays a critical role in providing capacity to the Lead Planners by helping serve HNW clients. You will be called upon as a financial planning subject matter expert, on the firm's full suite of financial planning tools, investment offerings and how they're leveraged to help clients define their financial goals and identify solutions to keep them on-track. Responsibilities include: + Partner with the Senior Planner, Financial Advisor, and high net worth team to deliver an end-to-end HNW client experience.Partner with financial advisors and HNW clients to gain understanding of client's needs collect and document client goals and provide key inputs into creating the client's holistic financial plan. + Partner with the Senior Planner and subject matter experts on the HNW team (i.e., estate, tax, business owners, home office portfolio strategist. etc.) to create a holistic, customized financial plan for clients as well as aid in the creation and delivery of other client deliverables and recommendations. + Support the Senior Planner and HNW team in consolidating client recommendations, deliverables, and support the delivery of advice and financial planning strategies for complex HNW clients at the direction of the Senior Planner. + Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for holistic financial planning and support the creation of goals-based and financial planning recommendations for HNW clients with complex needs. Contribute to department goals, projects, and initiatives to better serve HNW branch teams and clients. Have a strong understanding of upcoming rules/regulations and impacts to their area of expertise and financial planning concepts. + Support the Senior Planner in delegating tasks and coordinating across the HNW team to meet the needs of our HNW clients and branch teams. + Understanding of Financial Advisor and Branch Team Support Member(s) processes including the implementation of Core Wealth, Banking, and Financial Planning offerings. + Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client.Proficiency using financial planning software or tools and interpreting results. + Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and application + Work closely with Financial Advisors to build relationships with High Net Worth clients and prospects via strong financial planning guidance and support new business opportunities and deliver on established growth metrics.
