ABOUT THE ROLE:

At Sephora, the journey of a product, from planning to delivery, is a strategic and collaborative effort. As an Associate Planner, you’ll play a key role in shaping that journey by managing sales and inventory planning across both pre-season and in-season timeframes to meet key performance objectives.

 

You’ll be part of a dynamic Supply Chain team that drives brand partnerships, forecasts client behaviors, and optimizes inventory levels across our network. From planning, forecasting, and allocation to operations and logistics, our team ensures that every product reaches our clients with speed and precision in a fast-paced, ever-evolving marketplace.

 

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you’ll contribute to delivering exceptional client experiences, not just by creating them, but by ensuring they’re executed flawlessly.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Planning & Strategy:

End-to-end brand portfolio management: OTB, newness forecasting, allocation, and replenishment inventory management Develop comprehensive pre-season strategies to identify opportunities and risks across brand, channel, and store levels Analyze product launches, performance trends, and seasonality to inform planning Adjust forecasts, receipts, and inventory levels to optimize business outcomes Manage replenishment forecasts and orders within the OTB receipt budget Lead newness and launch forecasts in alignment with merchandising and promotional strategies Collaborate with Merchants, Vendors, and the Director to build pre-season brand budget plans Design new brand strategies including projected sales, SKU-level inventory needs, and order flow for launch timelines

Inventory Management:

Drive allocation strategies that support merchandise plans for newness, animations, and promotional events. Validate assortments and recommend: Presentation quantities, items to discontinue, and items to develop Monitor and act on in-stock levels for core and newness SKUs. Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery to Canadian DCs and stores. Create manual POs for newness, new store openings, and promotional needs. Set up newness in FRAME (JDA) to enable accurate purchasing and allocation.

Performance & Reporting:

Generate and analyze reports on: Vendor/brand fill rates, lead time accuracy, business trends and stock continuity Conduct seasonal reviews of newness and key initiatives Provide visibility into fill rates for planners and brand partners Communicate launch risks and inventory strategies proactively Maintain consistent communication with vendors on sales performance, in-stock levels, and issue resolution

Collaboration:

Partner closely with Merchandising, US Inventory, and Store teams Develop and execute liquidation strategies for exit brands and collections Elevate critical launch information to Planners and Merchants

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

3+ years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Planning, or a closely related field Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools, along with hands-on experience using Demand and Merchandise Planning systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience in process management, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
