Associate Payroll and Time & Attendance

ROLE SUMMARY

The Associate, Payroll - Global Time and Attendance Team is responsible for the timely and accurate execution of all payroll time and attendance activities for assigned payroll cycles/populations/markets. This includes participation in project work, testing of systems, processing, validation, balancing, audit compliance, exceptions, repayments, off-cycle, post-payroll, and annual processes.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

Perform all related Time and Attendance and payroll related processes.Document work instructions related to Workforce Manager, Workday, ADP, Service Now and all other related systems. Process payroll changes, including sales bonuses, STD, return to work, LOA, and severance.Process off-cycle payroll requests.Analyze and determine root cause analysis of issues and errors and make recommendations on how to avoid in the future. Make recommendations for process improvement.Engage in project work as assigned and collaborate with other internal stakeholders and teams to ensure testing and successful implementation of changes and automations. Manage activities associated with regular execution of assigned payrolls, including collection and validation of inputs and error resolution.Communicate payroll kick off and approval processing milestones. Validate and balance payroll, process changes to correct errors or provide updates.Ensure required reports are distributed to stakeholders during and post-payroll.Support internal customer inquiries through the timely response to tickets raised by colleagues in the Service Now ticketing platform.Review and ensure all necessary audit processes are followed and assuring Sarbanes-Oxley, external and internal audit compliance. Record pertinent RM&C validations and support activities in corporate systems and audit workbooks.Other responsibilities as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, OR related field required OR associate degree with 2 years relevant experience.Proficient written and verbal English communication skills are required.Intermediate written and verbal German communication skills are required.Intermediate communication skills in Portuguese are a plus but not required.Desired experience in multinationals, shared services or finance related if applicable.Experience in timekeeping, payroll, accounting, or human resources.Communication and customer service skillsProblem solving, analytical skills, data analysis. Capability to manage complex/critical scenarios.Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS     

Experience with Workday, ADP, Kronos, Workforce Manager or other common HCM, payroll and time & attendance systems In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processingCertified Payroll Professional, or similar professional designation

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS 

Must be able to work in Pfizer Costa Rica office 2-3 days per week or as needed by the business.
